SELCOME(Society of Electronics & Communication Engineers)

Established in March, 2004, department is  running studentssociety with the name “Society of Electronics & Communication Engineers(SELCOME)” to promote the welfare of students by providing them a platform toenhance their overall personality by organizing technical events such as experttalks, seminars, workshops, quizzes, paper presentations, group discussion etc.

The society aims at inculcating a never ending quest forknowledge in students and transforming them into dynamic and innovativepersonalities. It was founded to promote the welfare of students as well as instituteby providing the students a platform to enhance their overall personality. Amanaging committee is made from the students to manage the activities of thesociety under the keen guidance of the faculty in-charge.

The society aims at inculcating a never ending quest forknowledge in students and transforming them into dynamic and innovativepersonalities. For this purpose society aims to conduct various events incompetitions such as debate, group discussion, technical quiz, paper presentationand many more. Special events such as to rendezvous the students with renownedpersonalities and to celebrate some important days such as Engineer’s Day,Teacher’s Day, World Telecommunication Day are also held. Another motive of thesociety is to provide the students with the knowledge of the latest innovationsand developments especially in the Electronics world.

On the whole, it is the platform where students can apply their managerial, technical and communication skills which raise their confidence to perform yetbetter always. Students of other departments are given equal opportunity toexhibit their talent by performing in various events. Finally the punch line ofthe society “Regulating Ideas, Amplifying Knowledge” says all about itsmotives. A number of technical events along with technical workshops are organizedregularly in the university by SELCOME for improving the technical skills amongthe students.
